In Pequeños Pasos we support the goal of eradicating malnutrition in Argentina.
Families that join Pequeños Pasos receive permanent care by a team of professionals: nutritionists, early stimulators, pediatricians, social workers, and psychologists.
Children depend on third-party care services because, as a consequence of their situation in poverty, they do not have either the necessary means or education to carry out a successful upbringing.
LWe have a two-way approach: to ensure that the mother satisfies her child necessities, and to elevate its social and cultural expectations.
Mothers have the opportunity to enroll in workshops about nutrition and health topics, which help them to improve their children’s quality of life and strengthen their healthy upbringing. Children from 5 to 17 years old.
Soccer school in the areas, Percussion orchestra, Vegetable gardens workshops.
The program arises to give a response to a necessity detected in the adolescent population of vulnerable areas.
A high rate of school dropout and the consumption of damaging substances that have a high level of criminal incidence are the reflection of a society deprived of supportive spaces for children that, at the same time, are the victims of violence and poverty situations which they live in.
Considering this reality, in Pequeños Pasos we created a support and prevention program through educational practices that communicate values about comprehensive care and healthy habits for the development of children during school age.
Líderes de Esperanza program specifically points to develop attitudes such as: autonomy, responsibility and solidarity. Through the program, we attempt to reach a physical, psychic, and sociocultural balance for children in an environment of construction, reflection, and exchange.
Adults at high social risk.
The main objective of the Employment Workshop is to accompany and motivate adults who are at high social risk, providing them with tools to increase their employability and thus obtain new opportunities to improve their quality of life. This will be promoted through training programs with certified diplomas, offering a job and support in the process of learning, training and social inclusion. In this way, we want to promote the encounter of adults who pass similar situations in order to identify and strengthen in the relationship. Those who attend have recommendations for personal finances, hygiene and health, school support, empowerment and psychological support.
